Türkiye's BIST 100 down at opening session

Türkiye's benchmark stock index opened Tuesday at 12,516.00 points, down by 0.61% or 76.76 points.

At Monday's close, the BIST 100 fell by 2.38% to 12,592.76 points, with a daily transaction volume of 115 billion liras ($2.35 billion).

As of 10.35 am local time (0735GMT), exchange rates stood at 48.9995 Turkish liras to the US dollar, 55.6330 to the euro, and 64.8895 to the British pound.

The price of an ounce of gold was $4,144.75, while Brent crude futures were trading at $106.2 per barrel.
