Egyptian pro-democracy supporters of ousted and country's first democratically elected President Mohamed Morsi, thanked Turkish Premier Recep Tayyip Erdogan during demonstrations on Tuesday.
During the demonstrations in Rab'a al-Adaweya Square in Cairo on Tuesday, the protesters thanked Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan for standing by the Egyptian people after the coup.
The demonstrations have continued after the army ousted country's first democratically elected President Morsi.
Pro-democracy supporters in 11 different squares in Cairo shouted against General Abdul Fatah al-Sisi, the commander-in-chief of the Egyptian armed forces, as well as the minister of defense and demanded the release of Morsi, defended his democratic legitimacy and demanded his reinstatement.
The National Alliance for the Defense of Legitimacy, a coalition of largely Islamist parties and groups including the Muslim Brotherhood, has organized mass protests on Tuesday in support of the ousted president.
