CAIRO (AA) - At the Rabaa al-Adawiya Square in the Egyptian capital of Cairo, the preparation for the Ramadan feast began with the baking of the traditional cookies.
The supporters of the former Egyptian President Mohamed Morsi make the famous cookies for Ramadan not at home but rather on the Rabaa al-Adawiya Square. The cookies, which are baked on ovens on the street, are decorated with "against military coup" slogans.
The traditional hand-rolled cookies were decorated with "Yes to legitimacy, no to military coup", "Morsi will come back", "We are with Morsi", "Welcome Ramadan, bye bye Sisi" slogans in English, Arabic and French.
The women who make the cookies said that they support Morsi with this action.
