A member of the Iraqi Kurdistan Democratic Party, Ferhad al-Atrushi said Syria had military and political problems and that they wanted to pull Turkey into their war.
Speaking to the Anadolu Agency (AA) a day after Syrian artillery shells that landed in south-eastern town of Akcakale killed 5 Turks and wounded 9 others, al-Atrushi said that "if we assume Turkey entered the war, then Syria would try to give an image to the world that Turkey was acting in an hostile manner."
"The Syrian administration wants to draw the attention of its public opinion to out of Syria," al-Atrushi also said.
Meanwhile, the leader of the Iraqi Turkmen Democracy Movement, Karhi Necmettin Altiparmak said that Turkey should not fall into the trap and game of Syria.
