The Organization of Young Sons of Iraq, a non-governmental organization, paid a visit to The Anadolu Agency (AA) on Monday.
Shakir Ketab Mahgoob Al-Obaidi, an independent Iraqi lawmaker, and the honorary president of the Organization of Young Sons of Iraq, asked for cooperation between the AA and the organization.
"We desire continuous communication," said Al-Obaidi.
Al-Obaidi said that they wanted the AA to use news reports the Iraqi NGO produced about Iraq, adding that the Iraqi organization would like to do its duty and provide daily news items about Iraq.
Waiaa Jalal Muheialdeed Al-Henfi, the organization's head, said they wished their members to participate in training programs by the AA,adding that they wanted their youth to "take a share of the AA's success."
Ahmet Tek, AA's editor-in-chief, said the AA was already running training programs in war and agency journalism, adding that the agency could offer such programs for the Iraqi NGO as well.
In response to Al-Obaidi's wish for news sharing, Tek said the AA was ready to build relations with every organization operating in the field of press and information.
"We are ready to get in contact with every foundation that works in this field. Our structuring in Iraq has been going on for a while. We will contact you once the structuring is finished," Tek said.
